Hot-dipped Galvanizing vs Electro Galvanization

In fact, galvanizing is hot-dipped galvanizing but people generally called Galvanized. It has a thickness about 65 – 300 microns (depending on customer requirements and other hot dip conditions). This method is often used for outdoor protection, which is decomposition about 1 micron per year (lifetime is over 20 years).

Zinc coating or Electro Galvanization is plating with electricity. Thickness is about 5 – 10 microns. This method is suitable for non-rusting or rusty indoor environments. If steel products located in the outdoor area are coated with this method, it will lead to easily rust formation.
